The Neighborhood Table / About

Close enough to learn your name.

Founded in 2008 by neighborhood residents who believed sustainable renewal starts from within.

Neighbors first.

A place for practical support, a shared table, and the people who keep showing up.

Built one conversation at a time.

  1. 2009

    A shared grocery table

Neighbors began gathering surplus produce and sharing it from a borrowed room.

  2. 2015

    Room to learn

Volunteer tutors added a quiet place to study and a consistent adult to call.

  3. Today

    Stay rooted

Food, mentorship, and housing support now work together under one roof.

The people who keep showing up.

Our directors bring decades of experience in community development, education, and public policy.
